SmithGroup, one of the nation’s leading integrated design firms, has announced the opening of a new office in Sacramento. This latest opening brings its total number of locations up to 19, with offices in San Francisco, Portland, Houston, and Atlanta, and elsewhere in the United States and China.
The new Sacramento office specializes in architecture, interiors, landscape architecture, and engineering for a number of markets from healthcare to education to urban environments. Sacramento’s focus on environmental sustainability made it an ideal location for SmithGroup, whose mission is “to design a better future for our clients, our communities, and ourselves,” says Arun Kaiwar, leader of day-to-day operations at the Sacramento office.
The location also helps the firm better serve its local clients, including UC Davis, for whom SmithGroup has completed a number of design projects. SmithGroup is currently working on two new facilities for UC Davis Health.
