After declaring bankruptcy and a $32 million sale to Hilco Merchant Resources, discount home décor retailer Tuesday Morning is going out of business, Retail Dive reports. After declaring bankruptcy, the company’s footprint has shrunk from 700 stores to 487 stores in 40 US states employing 1,600 full-time and 4,700 part-time workers.

The company reported negative earnings of $22.7 million and a net loss of $28.2 million in 2022. A series of failed sales of the company and attempts to gain funding led to the company’s eventual demise. The discount retailer is now selling its remaining inventory of furniture, home décor, pet supplies, toys, and more at 30% off.
